Week 1 Bulla Local Heroes winner announced!
Andrew was nominated by Amber McManus who said,
“Andrew Cipriano and his wife Maddy have five children and they all live and breathe basketball. Andrew is heavily involved with Southern Peninsula Basketball Association, including the development of young players in the VJBL, and their two eldest boys who play in several teams.
“Andrew and Maddy founded Boneo Basketball Club and have promoted and developed it into a thriving club aimed at bringing young people together while keeping them active. Andrew coaches several teams in both the Boneo Club and VJBL, including several training sessions weekly and zooms in lockdown.
“Andrew and Maddy both play in teams themselves. Maddy is a referee and they often take the whole family to local games or NBL, regardless of cost, as they are so passionate. Andrew’s commitment to the basketball community and their active family is outstanding and should be rewarded.
“Their family gives so much to the growth of basketball on the Peninsula and they deserve recognition, not to mention that five kids can eat a lot of ice cream!!!”
As a weekly winner, Bulla and Melbourne United are excited to reward Andrew with;
- a THREE-MONTH supply of Bulla’s award-winning Murray St Ice Cream (valued at $120)
- a Melbourne United cap
- a carton of Bulla Hoop Time Spalding outdoor balls for your school, association or club of choice!
Congratulations to Andrew and we thank you for your unwavering work in the Victorian basketball community.
