NORTON AND WALKER BROUGHT INTO BOOMERS COMM GAMES TEAM

Walker and Norton replace Mitchell Creek and Matthew Hodgson who have been withdrawn from the team.

Walker brings a strong season with the Perth Wildcats into the Commonwealth Games as well as experience from playing in the FIBA World Cup Qualifiers.

Norton returned from a thumb injury in the Boomers recent Asian Qualifier for the FIBA World Cup and will take his place in his first Commonwealth Games.

The Boomers first pool match will be played against Canada on April 6 at the Cairns Convention Centre.
