North West vs. East – The battle for regional supremacy!

Now in its 11th year, the Challenge is an invitational event that matches the top regional teams (VJL5 & VJL3 for U/12) in a North West vs. East showdown.

Seven games will be played across the night, tipping off at 6:40 and featuring Under-12, Under-14, Under-16 and Under-18 divisions. An accumulative points tally is kept and the highest scoring region is crowned the winner and awarded the David Hickman Perpetual Shield.

The Girls Got Game crew will be in attendance with a range of prizes to be handed out on the night.

All players and coaches will be awarded a commemorative medal and singlet in recognition of their participation.

Entry on the night is $3, with scoresheets and referees will be sponsored by MUVJBL.

The MUVJBL are pleased to recognise David Hickman’s tireless work in Basketball by naming the Regional Shield in his honour. David has enlightened many boards, committees, administrators, officials, players, parents and countless others to the benefits of Basketball to our associations and communities. It is fitting that this Regional Shield carries his name and allows us to recognise him for his efforts.
