After relaxing the rules on uniform penalties since COVID started, it is time for teams to ensure they are in the correct uniform.
As of December 2022, Teams with players without correct uniform (shorts and singlet) will be penalised. 5 points per player will be awarded to the opposition. Penalties will be applied by the referee at half time of the game.
Each player must have a Singlet with a legal number. Singlets must be of the same basic colour. Numbers should be 10 cm on front and 20 cm on the back.
Each player must wear basketball shorts of a uniform colour. Bike shorts, board shorts, tracksuit pants or shorts with pockets, buttons, belts or buckles are not allowed.
Compression Short Sleeves and T-Shirts of the same dominant colour as the playing singlet or black may be worn. Compression Stockings of the same dominant colour as the shorts, black or beige may be worn. Any undergarments with loose long sleeves may not be worn.
Shorts and singlets are available on our website –

There have been more reports in 2022 than the previous 6 years including two teams suspended and banned from Basketball Australia affiliated venues in Australia for the remainder of the season.
While we work hard to improve the level of officiating and retain officials, there is a responsibility on individuals and teams to conduct themselves in a respectful manner on and off the court.
Below are the 11 requirements to the BV Players code of conduct, please ensure your players are aware of these and help everyone enjoy the game – Full version click here

  1.  Understand and play by the rules.
  2.  Respect referees and other officials.
  3.  Control your temper.
  4.  Work equally hard for yourself and for your team.
  5.  Be a good sport
  6. Treat all players as you would like to be treated.
  7. Play for the “enjoyment of it” and not just to please parents and coaches.
  8. Respect the rights, dignity and worth of every person.
  9. Be prepared to lose sometimes.
  10. Listen to the advice of your coach and try to apply it at practice and in games.
  11. Always respect the use of facilities and equipment provided.

If you have any players who have names not appearing each week it will mean that they’re not registered.  Fill in players get two games for free and these games do not count towards qualifying.  If anyone needs help please contact us.

Teams giving walkovers are required to go through teammo, multiple team members can create accounts to submit the walkover, this will ensure the opposition is notified ASAP.
