FIBA WC MEDIA ACCREDITATION OPEN FOR SECOND WINDOW

The Australian Boomers will face the Philippines on Thursday, February 22 at 7:30pm before backing up against Chinese Taipei on Sunday, February 25 at 3:00pm with both games held at Margaret Court Arena in Melbourne.

Local and international media representatives wishing to attend the games in Melbourne are invited to apply for accreditation online through the FIBA Media Portal.

Media who registered for the first window in November can login to the Portal with their existing login details to re-apply for accreditation for the upcoming February games.

Media representatives who have not previously registered with the Portal will need to create a FIBA profile before completing their application.

Creating a profile or logging in to a previous existing account is not an application in itself.

Applicants are required to complete all steps and complete all required fields.

To apply for a specific game each media representative must:

• Log-in to the FIBA Media Portal or create a new profile
• Select Asian Qualifiers from the event list
• Select the game(s) to attend during the second window

Media attending both games will have to check their interest for both games as a new pass will be distributed for the second game on February 25.

Media credentials will be awarded on the basis of the professional history of the applying media, relevance to the event and basketball in general, as well as space availability in the venue.

The accreditation process will be open until Wednesday, February 7 at 5pm AEDT and no accreditation passes will be granted after this date.

Further information regarding open training and media opportunities will be communicated with confirmation of successful application.

Media passes are limited and Basketball Australia and FIBA reserve the right of refusal.
