Heading into the group stage games now with teams divided into Championship and Shield Division, a team in each pool has asserted themselves by advancing without a loss.
Melbourne Tigers again showed how mighty they are with a comfortable win over South Adelaide Panthers. It is at the defensive end where they are really shining, giving up just 51 points in three games while the average score against in Pool A is 58 points.
Eleanor Behrndt battled hard all game for the Panthers while leading scorer Amy Kurkowski controlled Melbourne’s offence with 32 points.
Knox Raiders swept through the day to race to the top of Pool B while Hills Hornets proved too strong for the home side, Shepparton Gators, to also finish the first two days undefeated.

In Pool D, Gold Coast Waves had to fight to claim honours against the Eastern Mavericks with the ultimate scoreline of 55-42 not truly reflecting how close the contest had been.
Olivia Bradley backed up her strong start with 20 points to pace the Mavericks while an impressive all-around team performance from the Waves eventually got the job done.
One of the matches of the tournament so far came in another Pool D clash as Wodonga Wolves came from behind against the Mandurah Magic, who led for most of the game on the back of a great performance from Sydney Meares. Christine Oguche led the comeback though, finishing with 21 points as the Wolves stormed home to win by three.
Sandringham Sabres have also qualified for Championship Division, having finished on top of Pool E, while the Sturt Sabres put in a tremendous defensive effort against North West Tasmania in the final game of the day to edge them in Pool F and own a 3-0 record as well.
