Rollers continue momentum with win over Korea
The Rollers were only able to hold a 38-34 lead heading into the fourth quarter, before taking over down the stretch on the back of Tristan Knowles (15 points, six rebounds) and Shaun Norris (11 points, eight rebounds).
The Australians struggled to finish just 23-for-65 (35.4 percent) from the field, with the low shooting percentage keeping Korea in the contest.
With three games under their belt, head coach, Craig Friday was disappointed with his teams offensive performance despite managing to come home with a comfortable win on the scoreboard.
“Frustrating game. Solid defence for most of the game. [We] just didn’t reward ourselves at the offensive end,” Friday said.
“[We] shot poorly and lacked energy and movement with and without the ball [but] ground out a solid win.”
The win is certainly the important part for the Rollers, who will now face Iran in the trophy game on Sunday, as they look to respond from their 75-62 loss to the Iranians last Thursday.
