Return to Sport Update – 17 February
Great news! Please see the update below regarding the end of the ‘circuit breaker’ of Victorian Stage 4 restrictions as announced today (Wednesday 17 February) by the Victorian Government and Department of Health.

Basketball will be able to recommence across the state from Wednesday 17 February at 11.59pm at a COVID-Safe level according to the Return to Sport Guidelines (Version 10 / 17 February).
Venue density limits will apply, patrons will need maintain social distancing where possible and continue to follow hygiene practices, eg signage must state the number of people permitted inside, wipes and disinfectant must be supplied for use by patrons, record keeping is required and venues with capacity of greater than 500 patrons must publish a COVIDSafe Plan online.
MASKS
Masks are not required while on court during games for players and referees participating in an exertive role, however, must be worn while not playing and on entry and exit of stadium. Coaches (including during games) and all other patrons over 12 years of age – must wear a mask at all times while indoors unless medically exempt.

With the 2021 Australian Grand Prix moving to later this year we are able to play throughout all of March.
