AUSTRALIA DROP GAME TO HOST NATION GERMANY AT ALBERT SCHWEITZER TOURNAMENT

A quick start to the game saw Germany jump out to an 11-4 lead but Callum Dalton and Samson Froling were able to steady the ship for the Aussies before a three-pointer from Alex Ducas made it a five-point game at quarter-time.

Dalton and Froling worked tirelessly in the paint all game, combining 25 points and 15 rebounds with Froling tallying a double-double.

Australia stuck close to the hosts and closed within a possession on several occasions over the next two quarters and while they could never get in front, they were still in the contest heading into the last term thanks to a late three-pointer from Kyle Bowen (11 points, three rebounds).

Germany had the answers every time though, holding Australia to 29% shooting overall which countered their 16 turnovers as Isaiah Lee (four points, six assists, six steals) and Alex Ducas (12 points) did everything they could to pull the Aussies over the line in the 56-65 defeat.
