Unfortunately, the current COVID restrictions and lockdown conditions will continue until 23 September (or 70 per cent of the Victorian population vaccinated with at least one dose) in accordance with today’s announcement from the Victorian Government, on advice from the Department of Health.
We are committed to finishing the 2021 Winter season, how the season will finish will depend on when we can return.
Start back 28th September or 5th October: 1 regular round and 2 rounds of finals.
Start back 12th or 19th October: 1 regular round and Grand Finals for the top 2 teams.
Qualifying will be reduced to 3 games for registered players(not including fill in games).
2021-22 Summer season: will proceed at the conclusion of the Winter season, registrations have been paused until a return to sport date is confirmed and will reopen witha minimum of 2 weeks notice for teams to register. New teams grading will be played during the Winter season finals.
By playing out the end of the Winter season we will be able to get back on court ASAP, and give us and teams enough time to register and prepare for the Summer season.
If any teams are not able to participate in the Winter seasons extension into October we understand and would appreciate as much notice as possible to remove the team from any games.
The office will be closed from Saturday 21st August until 20th September.
MSD Spartans hope everyone stays safe and healthy during this period and will be happy to get back on court as soon as possible.
