Three teams remain undefeated in Pool A for the Under-18 men but Vic Metro did not have it easy against WA Metro, winning by just five points after leading by just one at three-quarter time.

QLD South and SA Country sit at 2-0 alongside Vic Metro while ACT and NT will be looking to get on the winners list today against Vic Metro and WA Metro respectively.

In Pool B, QLD North and Tas are 2-0 but QLD North were made to fight against WA Country. They trailed by 12 at the last change but put together a 26-8 final term to run over the top and secure a second consecutive win.

Vic Country and NSW Metro also fought out a thriller, with Vic Country escaping with a one-point win. They had the chance to make it a three-point game in the dying seconds from the free-throw line but missed both which left the door open for NSW Metro on the buzzer but they were unable to make the shot.

For the women, Vic Metro have set the pace in Pool A as they are the only team on either side of the competition to currently sit at 3-0.

NSW Metro are unbeaten though at 2-0 and will take on a desperate SA Country side today in an important clash.

Vic Country and SA Metro lead the pack in Pool B for the women while NSW Country and QLD North round out the top 4 but WA Country and Tas have both proven they are worthy of a Quarter-Final berth on their day.

Don’t forget the Kevin Coombs Cup begins on Wednesday with the pool stage games for the Under-18’s running through then before finals start Thursday.
