2018 AUSTRALIAN UNDER-14 BOYS CLUB CHAMPIONSHIPS RECAP- DAY 3

Only three teams remain undefeated at the 2018 tournament now with the Nunawading Spectres, 2017 silver medalists Sydney Comets and reigning Champions Eltham Wildcats shaping up as serious gold medal contenders.

The Spectres faced Bulleen Boomers in the morning session and completely blew them out of the water in a stunning display as Tristan Devers dominated.

North Adelaide Rockets gave them more trouble, pushing them all the way to the final siren but Nunawading still prevailed by eight points.

Eltham also impressed, winning their two games by an average margin of 34 points while the Comets overcame a slow start against Warrnambool Seahawks, who opened up a double-digit lead early, to succeed 62-55.

In the Shield Division, the Canberra Gunners were involved in two thrillers but held their nerve to win both games against Darwin Cyclones (49-46) and Hills Hornets (54-50).

Point differential will come into play for the Stirling Senators and Willetton Tigers who split their games on Day 3.

Leon Zahos continues to impress for Stirling but both teams will now await the last result of their group stage tomorrow morning with nervous anticipation.

South West Slammers will have no such concerns though, having cruised through their two contests.

Eight games tomorrow morning will finish off the group stage before the Quarter-Finals begin from 4pm.
